The °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï Graduate School creates an educational experience that is 100% online, and offers two fully accredited degrees, Master of Education, and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership.

Educational Leadership

The Doctor of Education In Educational Leadership program consists of 58 total credit hours that is 100% online. It is divided into 42 credit hours of coursework and 16 credit hours of Capstone project work. If the program sequence is followed with fidelity, it can be completed in three years.

This program is designed to be a unique academic experience that prepares candidates to become leaders in the field of education. Doctoral candidates will participate in a rigorous experience resulting in a firm grasp of technology, research, writing, curriculum, instruction, and organizational leadership.

The Doctoral Capstone is a culminating project of the doctoral candidate’s experience. The candidate will develop research approaches and apply critical thinking skills to produce an original work to positively influence the field of education.

Application Process:

    • Complete application.
    • Submit an official transcript of a master’s degree, or equivalent (must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in post-baccalaureate degree coursework). The degree must be earned from an accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education, or from a °Ç¸ç³Ô¹Ï College-approved post-master’s program.
    • Submit a pastoral and professional recommendation.
    • Submit a Statement of Purpose essay.
    • Submit a Resume/CV (Three years of professional experience related to the program is preferred).
    • Complete the Qualification Interview with the Capstone Committee.

Students who complete the Doctor of Education program will be able to:

    • Demonstrate a knowledge of both theoretical and historical foundations of education.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and synthesis of major research in curriculum and instruction.
    • Understand and apply the major theories of research design.
    • Analyze and apply quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and research applications in a specific area of emphasis.
    • Demonstrate the ability to successfully design, complete, and defend a Capstone project resulting in positively influencing education.
  • A maximum of 50% of a post-graduate degree may be transferred in from an approved program of study.
  • Master’s coursework may not be counted towards Doctoral coursework.
  • No transfer grades lower than a B- may be applied to the degree.

Master of Education

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) is a 30-hour professional program designed for working educators who wish to improve their instructional skills and knowledge while continuing to serve in their current ministry. Emphasis is placed on improving quality of instruction, assessment, and supervision based uponÌýa thoroughly biblicalÌýphilosophy of education.

Coursework is offered in a combination of 8-week and 16-week online courses. Students may begin the program at any time.

Students admitted into the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program must:

    • Complete application.
    • Give a personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour.
    • Hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized institution.
    • Submit a pastoral recommendation.
    • Request an official transcript from the institution granting your undergraduate or graduate degree be sent to the Office of the Registrar for evaluation and approval prior to admittance.

Students who complete the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program will be able to:

    • Articulate an educational philosophy based upon a biblical foundation with knowledge of the historical and philosophical frameworks that underlie American educationÌý
    • Evaluate current educational research with an understanding of educational research philosophies, concepts, and proceduresÌý
    • Design and select a variety of instructional strategies and learning assessments based on sound practices and the individual needs and level of the learnerÌý
